1. WHEREAS, the Student Government Association (SGA) constantly strives to strengthen communication with the student body; and,

2. WHEREAS, WMUC is a student radio station which is accessible to University of Maryland Students; and,

3. WHEREAS, broadcasting legislative meetings will allow students to directly hear what is happening on their campus, which in turn, will provide a way for students to become more involved on their campus; and,

4. WHEREAS, the radio was funded by the SGA last semester; and,

5. WHEREAS, the cost for microphones will be $30 per meeting; and,

6. WHEREAS, there are 14 legislative meetings next semester; and

7. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that $420 be allocated to WMUC Radio from SGA Legislative Reserves to broadcast the legislative meetings; and,

8. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any unused funds be returned to SGA Legislative Reserves.
