1. WHEREAS, the Student Government Association (SGA) provides resources to improve the qualities of living and education on campus; and,

2. WHEREAS, there is currently no non-print media available for circulation to undergraduates; and,

3. WHEREAS, the Non-Print Media Department of Hornbake Library is currently seeking to circulate non-print materials; and,

4. WHEREAS, a Free Entertainment DVD Program would further enhance the selection of materials available; and,

5. WHEREAS, several peer institutions such as University of Maryland-Baltimore County (UMBC), have already established such a program; and,

6. WHEREAS the Student Government Association of UMBC allocated $2,800 to initially start the program and have henceforth budgeted $2,000 annually to procure more titles 7. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that $4,500 be allocated from SGA Legislative Reserves to Hornbake Library to establish the Free Entertainment DVD Program; and,

8. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any unused funds be returned to Legislative Reserves.
