An Act Enforcing Resolution F 08-09-15 B: Funding for WMUC's Equipment Costs
The SGA passed a bill last year allocating $301.73 from legislative reserves to cover the one time equipment cost necessary to stream legislative meetings through WMUC. However, WMUC still has not been reimbursed for this cost. This act will finally reimburse WMUC for the cost of the Barix Exstreamer and Instreamer pair.

A Resolution Urging the University of Maryland to Adopt the Designated Suppliers Program
The Designated Suppliers Program is effectively a coalition of universities that use their collective market power (which, with the popularity of university apparel, is very significant) to tell corporations that they may only use university trademark licenses and logos on apparel produced in specific factories designated by the Workers' Rights Consortium to fulfill a certain set of labor standards. It offers a grace period and only asks corporations to slowly increase over time the percentage of the amount of apparel coming from designated factories, to allow time for logistics problems, etc. Again, this won't make university apparel cost significantly more. It's less than fifty cents per clothing item to more than triple their wages and improve their living conditions substantially, and as university apparel's market curve is like – with different prices, the demand is roughly the same, as people buy UMD gear because they want UMD gear, not cheap clothes. So they already markup the clothes quite a bit for profit's sake, way more than what anti-sweatshop measures would influence.

A Resolution Supporting A Change in Policy Regarding Exemption From the Course ENGL101
As CORE is being changed this is an excellent time to change the requirement for ENGL101 exemption. The Writing portion of the SAT has been ignored by the school, but is designed to test the writing abilities of students, which makes it a better fit for ENGL101 than Reading, which is more about reading comprehension and vocabulary than sentence structure, grammar usage, and argument structure. It would also provide incentive for students to do well on the Writing SAT. This supports changing the policy on exemption, but not the score achieved by the student.

A Resolution Supporting the University Senate's Proposed Changes to the Procedures for Review of Alleged Arbitrary and Capricious Grading
The University Senate is considering changing the policies on the procedures for review of alleged arbitrary and capricious grading. Currently, faculty grading rights are unlimited, and there have been past cases in which this power has been abused. The University Senate is proposing that the grievance committee, that is, the committee that was formed for the case to do the footwork in finding out whether or not the charge of arbitrary and capricious grading holds weight, may, in essence, change the student's grade. It is also proposed that the grievance committee incorporates a faculty member from another department and another student. This resolution supports such changes.
